I had a call from Katarina last night telling me she was sick - although not as sick as some of the others in her hall, or her friend who spent all day at A and E! She was well enough to get out and buy herself suitable flu supplies - panadol, vitamins, chocolate, and also well enough to be excited about the ball dress (second hand) which she had found and a friend is altering to fit. Gold, apparently.
The other children are all back at school. Janine managed a few days at home on her own looking after Shadow while Chris, Hannah, Zach and I went to Wanaka. We managed half a day ski-ing at Cadrona, and enjoyed catching up with friends and sampling coffee and hot chocolate at various points along the way.
Zach has made it to the rep team again this year which means a trip to Queenstown in October for the tournament. Hannah and I are heading in the opposite direction as this comes just after General Assembly in Rotarua.
Zach and Hannah have a new principal, Mr Zonyville, so no doubt there will be some changes at school for them. We are getting back into routines this week, music, futsal, football, more music, and enjoying mild weather this week, well, warmer days anyway.

Holidays

We are running a Holiday Program this week. Katarina went back to Dunedin today, but was able to help set us up in lots of ways. Zach is doing a brilliant job stepping up as a junior leader and Janine is fabulous as always. We have a good team of helpers who know the ropes and the week is going well.
We will be off for a holiday next week.
