A week of wet

Blue sky - ah, but a memory after a week of wet. At least the children went back to school on Wednesday.

We have been busy working on assignments and restoring the house to some semblance of order after consecutive weekends away.

MJ preached at Leith on Sunday, which went well, thank you. And Chris and the children went to Balclutha, one of our APW support parishes as they were celebrating Harvest Thanksgiving. As a result, our pantry is full to over flowing with generous donations and we are feeling a bit spoilt.

The children were all glad to get back to school and catch up with friends. We have started Zach and Hannah at music classes too, so all four are down at George St on Saturday mornings now.

We start back at SOM lectures on Tuesday, having survived a very busy April. Although May is also looking to be rather busy too.

Rural Ministry Intensive

We are just back from a weekend in the parishes of Lawerence and Tapanui. George and Makesi and their churches did a brilliant job of hosting all the ordinands and families plus a few extras.
If you want to see some photo's, follow this link

There are lots of people you don't know but there are also some good ones of the children.
We enjoyed catching up with Sue Fenton from Knox.
The Konings were billeted with Anne and Russel Brown, who live at Mt Stuart, near Waitahuna, just south of Lawrence. Turns out Anne was at school with my mum - small world! We were spoilt rotten and if anyone is interested in a farm stay down this way, I'll pass on the contact details!
I went to a wet Anzac Day dawn service this morning and have spent the rest of the day working in the kitchen and finishing off an essay.
We have been blessed with many gifts of food in the last 2 weeks.
Garry and Kif called in also on their way home, we have had a lovely time catching up with them all and they have had a brilliant holiday, the weather was just superb.

One hundred posts!

That's a milestone! One hundred blogs!!!

OK, this week - tidying up the house as Garry Konings and family are coming for Easter, while we are at Easter Camp and we will celebrate Anna Konings 21st birthday on Monday!

I've stacked away all the wood we recieved from down south - 20 trailerloads among the SOM community from a parish down South, which is cool. Or warm, as it happens.

We've been blessed with several substantial gifts of money in the last few weeks. Praise God!
Two assigments due this week and need to work on another Charry essay as with Easter and holidays, we are going to be short of writing time.

And we are thinking about what to do next year... all a bit scary and we would value your prayers at this time.
Blessings
