Almost the new year

The week before Christmas we ran a small holiday program at St Stephens for nearly 30 children, plus had 16 here for Christmas lunch, glorious day. Since then, we've been busy picking currents, eating some, freezing some, also dealing with cherries (eating lots, freezing some, and just picked fresh peas tonight, Yummy!
My niece and nephew Bridget and Jonathan are here for a couple of days while my sister sorts out some things in the new house before heading off to Wanaka (them, not us). Hannah and Zach are enjoying having their cousins for an extended visit and we all went down to the Timaru carnival today, and also had a picnic afternoon tea at the playground yesterday.
Chris and I have a service on Sunday and will be working some of the next few days to put that together.
The weather has been gloriously hot and sunny but is about to pack up sometime early tomorrow morning, so we are going to hunker down and maybe make pancakes for breakfast.

Prizegiving

We've just been to prize giving at Timaru Girls High School. Janine received a certificate for "Industry," and another for High Achievement in Maths, Science and English.

We are proud.

Hannah and Zach played 'Angels from the realms of glory' this week at both Trinity West and St Stephens.

We are proud.

I conducted my first baptism and the first baptism of the Timaru Presbyterian Parish on Sunday.

Katarina is making lots of Christmas angels using beads and safety pins.
