August

We have finished our course on Mission's, apart from the reading, the book review and the other assignment, which I haven't looked at yet. Chris has started his Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and I am again on Field Education, with plenty of stuff to work through at the moment. I am working with students again, although I will mix it up with some work at Leith too.

Katarina and Janine have finished their Science Fair projects, which have taken a great deal of time and energy to put together. However, they look good and the girls have certainly learnt more about their chosen topic, which is the whole idea really.

Janine represented DNI at the Otago matheletics competition yesterday, which was very exciting for her. She is good at maths but does struggle with the basic facts, as does her big sister.

Hannah is producing some lovely work at the moment, she has learnt how to sew on buttons and she is working on writing letters and words at the moment. She is starting to recognise words at the moment.

Zachary is working on his spelling at the moment, he is motivated to keep working on these at the moment so we are trying to encourage that as much as possible.

We are all well and really enjoying the warmer weather of the last few days, it has been nor-westry. Mum and Dad came and stayed last Friday night, with a load of firewood. No doubt we will need it before the winter ends!
